Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job Summary
Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. Reporting to the Management Accountant youll be part of a small friendly team where youll be encouraged to use your own initiative and develop your skills.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible in supporting ad-hoc duties when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders from depots
- Supporting weekly and month-end BACS payment runs
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations
- Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
- Generating weekly invoices and associated reports
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks
Qualifications :
- Have excellent problem solving analytical and organisational skills
- GCSE Maths Grade B minimum
- PC literate in Word and Outlook. Must have extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Must be capable of working well under pressure
- Good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
- Have the ability to identify and suggest improvements
- Be willing to take responsibility and accountability
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year
- Have experience of working alone and as part of a team
- Highly motivated to achieve and progress
- Knowledge of warehousing software systems would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
