Occupational Therapist (OT) Travel Assignment

Location: Tuba City AZ 86045
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week travel assignment at a JCAHO-accredited healthcare facility serving diverse Native American communities in Northwestern Arizona.

The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to pediatric adult and geriatric populations. The role involves treating patients with orthopedic neurological developmental cognitive and physical disabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong orthopedic rehabilitation expertise independent clinical judgment and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients across pediatric adult and geriatric populations
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals
• Deliver therapeutic interventions for orthopedic neurological developmental cognitive and physical conditions
• Provide specialized services including custom orthoses sensory integration therapy cognitive rehabilitation and ADL training
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Deliver both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services
• Recommend adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment (DME)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Collaborate with physicians nurses social workers and rehabilitation staff
• Participate in quality improvement safety and risk management initiatives
• Provide education and training to patients families staff and students as required
• Ensure compliance with professional OT standards facility policies and ethical guidelines
• Support specialty rehabilitation programs including orthopedic geriatric spinal cord and functional recovery services

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program required
• Active Occupational Therapist license required (Arizona license or eligibility for licensure accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required
• Strong orthopedic rehabilitation experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Must meet all credentialing and privileging requirements
