- What You Will Be Doing:
As a Lead Auditor you will perform and lead various excise tax audits assist the Revenue Audit Supervisor with program management provide technical direction to tax technicians and other auditors and answer questions about various excise tax programs from the public.

- Auditing: Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and procedures for conducting financial and compliance economy and efficiency and program audits.
- Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles standards and practices (for example double entry accounting accrual accounting) including the full accounting cycle and the preparation of work sheets financial statements ledgers and journals.
- Tax Law: Knowledge of accounting and tax law for individuals sole proprietorships partnerships and/or corporations.
- Technical Credibility: Understands and appropriately applies principles procedures requirements regulations and policies related to specialized expertise.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible professional experience in accounting finance tax auditing examining preparing reviewing or reconciling financial accounts and data.
