Youll work on hands-on projects aligned to our ESG priorities seeing first-hand how conducting business responsibly and generating value sustainably underpins our forever caring promise to patients and customers. Interns will join cross-functional teams across areas such as materials science engineering supply chain data technology and operations helping to shape ideas into practical solutions while developing experience employers value.

About the role:

The Packaging Sustainability Data & Compliance Intern will contribute to Convatecs packaging sustainability ambitions by supporting critical activities that strengthen data integrity enhance supplier information enable regulatory readiness and build repeatable environmental reporting frameworks. This role provides handson experience in sustainability packaging data analysis and regulatory compliance within a global healthcare organisation.

Success in this internship requires strong analytical skills attention to detail curiosity and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. You will work closely with the Packaging Sustainability Engineer and the Packaging Manager to support structured processes that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Your main tasks:

1. Packaging Data Validation

  • Review and validate packaging materials weights and classifications
  • Identify inconsistencies gaps and duplicate entries
  • Standardise naming conventions and units of measure
  • Distinguish between estimated and verified inputs
  • Summarise findings and support documentation updates

2. Scope 3 Packaging Emissions Support

  • Organise and maintain packaging material weight datasets
  • Apply established emission factors and document assumptions
  • Support updates to carbon calculation tools
  • Prepare comparison summaries for yearonyear reporting

3. Supplier Data Collection & Enhancement

  • Develop structured supplier information request templates
  • Collect packagingrelated environmental data (e.g. recycled content manufacturing location product footprint info where available)
  • Track response rates and evaluate data completeness
  • Consolidate and organise supporting documents

4. Regulatory Readiness Support

  • Map existing packaging data against upcoming regulatory expectations
  • Identify missing data attributes and documentation needs
  • Build structured trackers to monitor regulatory preparation
  • Support organisation of recyclability and compliance evidence

About you:

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel and data handling
  • Clear written and communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively

Qualifications / Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a STEM subject

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid working model (site: Deeside (UK) or Osted (DK))
  • Occasional meetings with crossfunctional partners
