Assistant Payroll Operations Manager

The company supports multinational corporations and growing businesses in managing payroll processing statutory compliance tax filings employee administration and cross-border hiring through a combination of technology-enabled platforms and outsourced operational support helping clients streamline HR operations while ensuring local regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Scope of Position :

Our client is seeking an experienced payroll professional to lead Thailand payroll operations and ensure accurate timely and compliant payroll delivery. This role will serve as the in-country payroll lead overseeing end-to-end payroll processing statutory compliance payroll governance and service delivery standards while partnering closely with regional stakeholders.

• Key Responsibilities
  
  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for Thailand ensuring payroll accuracy timeliness and compliance
  • Review payroll outputs reconciliations reports and payment submissions
  • Ensure compliance with Thailand labor laws tax regulations Social Security Fund (SSF) withholding tax (PND1) and year-end reporting requirements
  • Act as the key contact for payroll-related audits compliance matters and escalations
  • Partner with regional stakeholders to ensure alignment with payroll governance controls and standard operating procedures
  • Supervise and support the development of the local payroll team through coaching and guidance
  • Drive process improvements payroll automation initiatives and operational efficiencies
  • Support payroll transitions knowledge transfer and business expansion or onboarding activities where required
  • Liaise with external vendors tax agents and relevant authorities when necessary
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • Bachelors degree in HR Finance Business Administration or related discipline
  • 69 years of payroll experience with strong expertise in Thailand payroll operations and statutory compliance
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end Thailand payroll processes
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring team members preferred
  • Experience within a shared services outsourcing or multinational environment is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Thailand labor law payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Fluent in Thai and English both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of automation tools or macros would be an added advantage
