Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric
Salary Range: $29.55 - $31.49 per hour
Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday no weekend rotation flexible with schedule
This client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join provide exceptional care to its geriatric patients. As a PTA in this facility you will work closely with a Physical Therapist to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for our elderly patients to improve their mobility strength and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of patients physical condition
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist
- Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercises activities and modalities
- Monitor and document patients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to promote independent movement and prevent injury
- Communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines for patient care and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state PTA license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with geriatric patients
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Flexibility in schedule to meet the needs of our patients
