Salary Range: $131010 $196300 / yr

About the Role

Join a leading American semiconductor pioneer at the forefront of data infrastructure. As a Rack Level Integration Engineer you will be the primary architect of cohesion for our advanced AI compute environments. You will lead the validation and integration of the Photonic Fabric and all mission-critical components within the rackfrom accelerators and high-speed switches to optical backplanes and advanced cooling solutions.

This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of hands-on technical execution and high-level systems design to ensure our AI infrastructure meets stringent performance and reliability benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects involving multiple domains
  • Integrate rack level optical interconnects
  • Integrate all hardware and software elements within the AI compute rack ensuring compatibility connectivity and optimal performance
  • Set up test and qualify complete rack solutions to guarantee they meet or exceed stringent performance reliability and efficiency standards
  • Integrate and configure smart PDUs (Power Distribution Units) to efficiently manage power distribution within the rack
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of and proficiency in rack-level management functions including real-time monitoring control and automation of critical rack components
  • Execute hands-on lab racking and stacking procedures including the assembly and setup of intricate high-touch rack configurations
  • Create and maintain thorough and detailed documentation for all rack-level integrations
  • Work closely and collaboratively with a diverse range of cross-functional teams including design engineers program managers customers and vendors


What Were Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field with 35 years of professional experience.
  • OR Masters/PhD with 23 years of experience.
  • Equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.

Technical Requirements

  • Integration Mastery: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in rack-level integration.
  • AI Infrastructure: Deep understanding of AI compute rack configurations and the functional interplay of all integrated components.
  • Design Tools: Proficiency in Mechanical and Thermal CAD tools.
  • Systems Management: Strong grasp of rack-level management functions and industry best practices.
  • Testing: Proven track record of qualifying high-performance rack solutions against strict reliability benchmarks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with rack-level optical interconnects.
  • Previous experience within a high-tech semiconductor or data center environment.
