Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric
Salary: $29.55-31.49 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday no weekend rotation flexible schedule
As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a variety of physical conditions focusing on the geriatric population
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist including therapeutic exercises manual therapy and modalities
- Monitor and document patient progress making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in schedule and willingness to adapt to changing patient needs
