Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (P-PTA)
Salary Range: $30-$32 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday with occasional weekends and possible float
As a P-PTA you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for residents
- Administer exercises and therapeutic activities to improve residents mobility strength and range of motion
- Monitor and document residents progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and activities
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care for residents
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems
