Job Overview
An Ecology Advisor is required to support multiple coastal and flood safety projects. The role focuses on ecological research monitoring and advisory work related to coastal management sediment processes and environmental impact assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop research designs methodologies and planning for ecological monitoring
- Support sediment sampling initiatives across coastal and foreshore environments
- Conduct ecological analysis related to sediment characteristics and coastal morphology
- Contribute to studies on grain size sediment shape and ecological impacts
- Provide ecological advice for coastal management and nourishment projects
- Assist in developing and improving monitoring programs (e.g. shellfish bird monitoring)
- Identify knowledge gaps and contribute to research agendas
- Deliver ecological assessments datasets protocols and quality frameworks
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

- Familiarity with environmental regulations and ecological frameworks
- Experience collaborating with research institutions and environmental stakeholders
- Degree in ecology biology environmental science or earth sciences
