The Sanitation Specialist position is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday position from 6:30am-2:30pm working in our state of the art climate controlled facility with the opportunity for voluntary overtime and at times may require overtime beyond the normal workday.
As a Sanitation Specialist you will beresponsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the worksite as a whole. This includes the production floor offices common areas restrooms and the surrounding grounds. This position works independently of direct supervision and requires a self-motivated and self-sustaining individual. The sanitation specialist must be able to communicate well with their supervisor and must comply with all Safety and Safe Quality Foods policies. at optimum speeds in a team atmosphere. Morris Packaging provides on-site training and certifications to support your success.
Job duties Include:
- Performing general janitorial duties throughout the plant and attached offices
- Cleaning building floors by sweeping mopping or vacuuming
- Servicing cleaning and suppling restrooms
- Mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- Cleaning indoor and outdoor windows glass partitions or mirrors
- Cleaning employee common areas
- Cleaning and sweeping plant aisles driveways yard and parking areas
- Picking up trash and debris in and around the plant
- Emptying all trash containers in facility as needed
- Stocking PPE stations throughout facility
- Operating scissor lift for overhead cleaning
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for the full shift is required
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and technologies
- Ability to use all required cleaning instruments and equipment
- Knowledge and compliance of all safety guidelines
