Who are we
The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. SRPMIC is comprised of two tribes Akimel Oodham (River people) and the Piipaash (People who live toward the water). Bounded by the cities of Scottsdale Tempe Mesa and Fountain Hills the Community serves over 11000 tribal members and all persons conducting business over approximately 96 square mile area of residential agricultural and commercial lands as a full-service government entity.

What the job looks like:
The focus of this position is to provide direct support to the SRPMIC members in the form of employment guidance and counseling.
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor you will help individuals grow through the rehabilitation and employment process. You will conduct eligibility determinations and intake interviews develop employment plans to meet individual needs manage a caseload provide services and supports and guide members with disabilities in all aspects of their employment.
The ideal candidate is someone who is willing to learn take advantage of comprehensive training opportunities and who is comfortable in doing Community outreach.

- Experience working with Members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
- A desire to help Community Members achieve employment
- Knowledge of disabilities and diagnoses
- Excellent communication skills enthusiasm and a willingness to help others
Minimum Qualifications

What you need:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- AZ Drivers License
- Case Management Experience or Knowledge
