We are looking for an On-Call Substitute teacher who is interested in teaching either middle school-level students high school-level students or both. TheSubstitute Teacherwill carry out the following responsibilities on a daily basis:
We are looking for an On-Call Substitute teacher who is interested in teaching either middle school-level students high school-level students or both. TheSubstitute Teacherwill carry out the following responsibilities on a daily basis:
- Plan and prepare learning activities and lessons.
- Assist with study skills math reading and writing classes.
- Assist with student progress evaluation and report-writing.
- Works effectively with others in planning and evaluating learning activities.
Experience and education required:
- Four-year degree in Education.
- Classroom experience
The following knowledge skills and abilities are required for this position:
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to special needs of students.
- Able to treat each student with respect fairness flexibility and in a professional manner.
- Able to use appropriate technology including MS Office software (Word and Excel) Internet communication systems online grading systems and assistive technology.
- Able to select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when teaching new things.
- Able to clearly and effectively communicate information and ideas in writing verbally and using a variety of media so students will understand.
- Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words written material multimedia and audiovisual sources.
- Able to display high levels of customer service responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization as applicable.
- Understand and maintain confidential nature of student organization and employee information including and in accordance to HIPAA regulations.
Pay and Benefits
- $160 per day
- Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)
