Cardiovascular Technician (CV Tech) Travel Assignment

RCIS Certification: Preferred
Compensation:
- Local Rate: Up to $80/hr (based on experience)
- Travel Rate: Up to $90/hr (including stipend based on experience)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technician to support a high-volume Cardiac Catheterization Lab in New York NY. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cardiac monitoring hemodynamic interpretation and Cath Lab procedural support in a fast-paced clinical environment.
This role involves assisting physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures operating specialized Cath Lab equipment monitoring patient status and responding to critical care situations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs including blood pressures and report deviations from baseline
- Interpret intracardiac pressures and assist with catheter positioning during procedures
- Accurately record hemodynamic data and procedural documentation
- Operate and calibrate Cath Lab systems (A-Vox cardiac output ACT and related equipment)
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures (catheters wires balloons stents)
- Manage procedural data entry and analysis using Cath Lab information systems
- Set up and operate intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) systems during procedures
- Support emergency interventions including defibrillation suctioning pacing and resuscitation
- Operate power injectors for contrast administration
- Maintain sterile field integrity and prepare procedure rooms
- Enter patient and procedural data into clinical systems prior to procedures
- Assist with patient transport between procedure and recovery areas
- Perform routine equipment checks and ensure adequate supply inventory
- Adapt to and support new cardiovascular technologies and workflow updates
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience as a Cardiovascular Technician or in a Cardiac Cath Lab preferred
- RCIS certification strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic interpretation
- Experience assisting in invasive cardiac procedures preferred
- Familiarity with Cath Lab equipment and sterile technique
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication teamwork and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- English proficiency (spoken read and written)
