Job Summary
Accounting Manager / Controller Birmingham AL (Contract)
A Birmingham-based company is navigating an active acquisition and divestiture and needs an experienced Accounting Manager or Controller to provide financial stability and continuity during an 18-24 month transition period.
This is a contract role requiring someone who can hit the ground running with minimal handholding.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: On-site Birmingham AL (Homewood/Mountain Brook area)
Contract Length: 18-24 months
Engagement Type: Contract
Key Requirements:
* 5 years of progressive accounting experience
* Solid command of GAAP financial close and financial reporting
* Hands-on experience with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics F&O experience is a strong advantage)
* Proven ability to manage AP AR payroll and general ledger functions
* Comfortable working through organizational change M&A activity or business transition
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred not required)
* Ability to work on-site in Birmingham AL
