Position Summary

Plans coordinates and implements nutritional therapy services for assigned patient populations within a behavioral health setting.

Essential Functions

• Assesses patient nutritional status and identifies individual dietary needs
• Develops implements and monitors patient-specific nutrition care plans
• Evaluates patient responses to nutrition interventions and adjusts plans accordingly
• Collaborates with physicians nursing staff pharmacy and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate medical nutrition therapy
• Partners with departmental leadership to ensure nutritionally appropriate menus food selections and services for patients and visitors
• Provides education training and counseling to patients staff and community members on topics such as eating disorders weight management and therapeutic diets
• Supports organizational initiatives related to nutrition wellness and patient outcomes

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Dietetics Nutrition or related field (required)
• Experience: Clinical nutrition experience preferred particularly in behavioral health or acute care settings

License & Certifications

• Licensed Dietitian in the State of Kentucky (required)
• Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) (required)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
