Position Summary
Plans coordinates and implements nutritional therapy services for assigned patient populations within a behavioral health setting.
Essential Functions
- Assesses patient nutritional status and identifies individual dietary needs
- Develops implements and monitors patient-specific nutrition care plans
- Evaluates patient responses to nutrition interventions and adjusts plans accordingly
- Collaborates with physicians nursing staff pharmacy and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate medical nutrition therapy
- Partners with departmental leadership to ensure nutritionally appropriate menus food selections and services for patients and visitors
- Provides education training and counseling to patients staff and community members on topics such as eating disorders weight management and therapeutic diets
- Supports organizational initiatives related to nutrition wellness and patient outcomes

Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Dietetics Nutrition or related field (required)
- Experience: Clinical nutrition experience preferred particularly in behavioral health or acute care settings
License & Certifications
- Licensed Dietitian in the State of Kentucky (required)
- Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) (required)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
