Founded in 1957 St. Luke School serves students from age three through eighth grade. St. Luke Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years (MYP) offer co-ed programs in Preschool through Grade 8 welcoming students from around the world. We are a fully authorized International Baccalaureate World School delivering IB programming to all our students.

Postion Details:

ThePreschoolAssistantTeacherisresponsibleforsupportingthecareandeducationofupto16children (ages 4 to 5 years). This role reports directly to the Preschool Lead Teacher. Hours follow a fullschooldayschedule8:00ï½3:15 Monday-Friday as per school calendar.

Responsibilities

Leadership&Care

• Communicateeffectivelywithstudentsfamiliesandcolleaguesadheringtoschoolprotocols.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for students under your care.
• SupporttheintegrationoftheInternational Baccalaureate framework and inquiry based learning.
• Ensurecompliancewithalllicensingrequirementsandmaintainafullylicensedclassroom.
• Modelfaith-basedage-appropriateinstructionincludingCatholictraditionsandvalues.
• Participateinschool-ledcommunityevents which may involve a few evening commitments.

Collaboration&ProfessionalGrowth

• WelcomeguidanceandfeedbackfromLeadTeacherstoformacohesiveandeffectiveteaching team.
• Supporttheorganizationscollaborativecultureï½helpingoutwhereandwhenneeded.

GeneralSupport

• Monitorhealthprotocolsassistwithminor injuries and support emergency preparedness.
• wiping down surfaces and spot cleaning.
• Assistwithmealandsnackpreparation.

RequiredQualifications (must be completed before working with students)

• Virtus (Safe Environment) training through the Archdiocose of Seattle
• ActiveMERITaccountwithup-to-dateSTARSdocumentationandacommitmentto10STARS hours annually.
• CompletionofChildcareBasicsCourse(30hours).

Compensation&Schedule

HourlyRateRange:$25-28.00perhour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
