We build hands-on industry-relevant programs for B2B audiences combining technical rigor with real-world application. Our Data Infrastructure curriculum covers the full spectrum of working with structured data: from foundational SQL querying and data modeling to advanced query optimization pipeline design and data warehouse architecture applied to real business and engineering challenges.
Who are we looking for
We are building a talent pool of experienced Data Engineers Database Administrators and Analytics Engineers for ongoing roles as Instructors Authors and Subject Matter Experts in our Data Infrastructure educational programs.
We are looking for specialists across the following areas: Basic SQL Advanced SQL query optimization data pipeline design data warehouse concepts and adjacent data engineering topics.
A strong candidate doesnt just know their stack deeply they actively work with databases and structured data in real-world projects and can translate complex technical concepts into practical teachable content. We prioritize hands-on experience with tools and workflows such as SQL (PostgreSQL MySQL BigQuery Snowflake or similar) query performance tuning data modeling and schema design ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse or lakehouse architectures. The ability to teach others how to write efficient queries structure data for scale and make sound database design decisions is what sets our experts apart.
Role levels were hiring across:
Junior level Instructors Ideal background: Data Analyst Junior Data Engineer 13 years working with databases and structured data. Youre comfortable writing SQL queries working with joins and aggregations and explaining SQL logic step-by-step with realistic your sessions you guide students through real datasets help them debug queries and build their confidence with structured data.
Mid level Authors Ideal background: Data Engineer Analytics Engineer 36 years managing large datasets and data pipelines. You specialize in query optimization pipeline design and data warehouse concepts. As a course author you explain database design choices and data flow decisions in a way that connects technical depth to practical outcomes for engineering teams.
Senior level Subject Matter Experts Ideal background: Analytics Director Data Architect 6 years in data infrastructure including experience leading large-scale database design or data architecture projects. Youve shaped data governance practices and can speak credibly to data infrastructure strategy at the organizational level. You contribute to curriculum design and ensure our programs reflect current industry standards.
These are Talent Pool positions we continuously review applications and build our roster of experts. This means there may not be an immediate opening at the time you apply but strong candidates will be added to our talent pool and contacted as relevant opportunities arise.
You can join us on a part-time basis (1015h/week) contributing as an instructor leading live sessions and workshops as a course author creating learning materials or as a subject matter expert supporting curriculum development. Teaching sessions are compensated separately.
Compensation: $40150/hour depending on experience and format of collaboration.

Instructor You will lead live hands-on training sessions for data practitioners and engineering professionals helping them apply SQL and data infrastructure concepts to real-world technical challenges.
- Conduct live interactive training sessions and workshops
- Prepare practical workshop scenarios and training materials in collaboration with our Instructional Designer
- Develop reusable materials: query-based exercises data modeling walkthroughs debugging challenges and SQL reference guides
- Work with the curriculum team to ensure alignment between asynchronous and live content
- Communicate with students during Q&A sessions
- Review and incorporate learner feedback to continuously improve session design
Author You will create the core educational content for our Data Infrastructure courses from structure and learning objectives to lessons assessments and final projects.
- Collaborate with us to define the course structure and learning objectives for each module
- Create clear concise and comprehensive content: lessons manuals guides session outlines and assessments
- Prepare content in multiple formats: text draft slides and screencasts
- Participate as a speaker in learning videos
- Design the final project for the course
- Work iteratively with instructional designers to improve content quality
- Ensure all content meets industry standards and aligns with course objectives
- Contribute to content updates based on student feedback analysis
- Optional: participate as an instructor in live sessions compensated separately
Subject Matter Expert You will shape the strategic direction of our Data Infrastructure curriculum ensuring our programs reflect real engineering needs and current industry practice in database design SQL and data pipeline development.
- Define topic priorities for Data Infrastructure learning programs targeting data engineers database administrators analytics engineers and adjacent technical roles
- Decompose data infrastructure skills into competency maps mastery frameworks and learning roadmaps
- Review course structures and content for technical accuracy practical relevance and alignment with learning outcomes
- Act as an internal authority for the Curriculum team translating market needs and data engineering trends into program strategy
- Support the selection and evaluation of external authors and experts
- Monitor emerging database technologies query engines and pipeline frameworks; convert insights into recommendations for new or updated programs
All roles are part-time: 1015 hours per week.

Subject Matter Expert
- Strong hands-on expertise in data engineering database architecture or SQL-heavy data infrastructure with a track record of building and scaling data systems in production environments
- Ability to evaluate real-world database technologies query engines and pipeline frameworks and distinguish practical approaches from hype
- Experience structuring complex data infrastructure knowledge into competency maps frameworks skill decompositions or curriculum logic
- Ability to review technical learning content critically and provide clear structured feedback to authors and internal stakeholders
- Seniority level that allows autonomous work after onboarding with strong ownership and minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex database and pipeline concepts clearly to mixed stakeholders
- Availability to collaborate within European time zones
- Fluent English (written and spoken); Russian or Spanish is a strong plus

- 36 years of professional experience in data engineering database administration or analytics engineering with a strong focus on query optimization data pipeline design or data warehouse architecture
- Deep knowledge of SQL across at least one major platform (PostgreSQL MySQL BigQuery Snowflake or similar); familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling principles
- Hands-on experience designing and optimizing data workflows in real-world production environments with concrete cases and measurable impact
- Proven track record in knowledge sharing mentoring technical writing or public communication of data engineering topics

- 13 years of experience working with databases and structured data with hands-on practice in SQL querying data modeling and working with real-world datasets
- Solid knowledge of SQL fundamentals: joins aggregations subqueries window functions and query debugging
- Hands-on experience working with structured data in realistic business or engineering contexts able to connect SQL concepts to practical outcomes
- Ability to translate database concepts into actionable engaging learning experiences for professional audiences
- Confident collaborative and audience-oriented facilitation style
- Background in mentoring tutoring or peer knowledge sharing is a strong plus
- Strong preparation habits and time management; able to commit 1015 hours per week
