Duties & Responsibilities
- The Materials Handler supports production operations by ensuring accurate timely flow of materials according to the build schedule. Responsibilities include:
- Kitting materials to production work orders based on the build schedule.
- Issuing production materials to kanban locations.
- Managing and maintaining assigned materials.
- Participating in and completing monthly cycle counts.
- Performing SAP transactions to accurately reflect material status.
- Lifting and handling packages up to 50 lbs.
- Participating in training new team members.
- Applying judgment initiative and creativity to troubleshoot material related issues.
- Maintaining a clean organized and efficient work area.
- Prioritizing daily tasks to meet material and kanban demands.
- Solving a wide range of complex problems with minimal guidance.
- Accurately counting and reconciling quantities.
- Understanding organizational structure and key contacts within the facility.
Required Experience
- Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years in materials handling within a manufacturing environment.
Key Skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Problem solving and decision making ability
- Accuracy in counting and reconciling materials
- Ability to perform SAP transactions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience
- Medical device cleanroom experience
- Computer experience
- SAP experience
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
