Job Summary

Lead E-Commerce Engineering (AEM)

Location: Hybrid - 3- 4 days/wk in Fort Lauderdale or Miami FL - open to relocation

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of AEM-driven digital experiences (marketing pages personalization entry flows)
  • Act as the technical bridge between Product UX Content and Engineering
  • Provide hands-on architecture and coding leadership within AEM and backend services
  • Mentor engineers conduct code reviews and drive best practices
  • Design and support backend integrations (APIs microservices Adobe ecosystem CRM etc.)
  • Own performance scalability and reliability of customer-facing experiences

Must-Have Experience

  • Strong hands-on AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) core focus
  • Java / Spring Boot backend development (AEM backend integrations)
  • Experience leading engineers in production AEM environments
  • Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer / AEP / personalization tools
  • Strong experience with API integrations microservices and distributed systems

Nice to Have

  • Some React exposure (not the focus)
  • Experience with AI tools or personalization workflows
  • Background in e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms

Profile

  • 10 years engineering experience 3 years in a lead role
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring and collaborating (not a lone wolf)
  • Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams

Key Recruiting Callouts

  • Prioritize deep AEM Adobe ecosystem experience above all else
  • Must be backend-leaning (Java integrations) not just frontend/React
