About the Role
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our automation team and contribute to our Playwright-based web testing framework. You will work alongside the team lead and other QA engineers participating in the design implementation and maintenance of automated test suites across web and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain automated test cases using Playwright and TypeScript following the team's established architecture and standards
- Analyze failing tests to distinguish between product bugs and automation issues
- Work with the team lead to define test coverage for new features and user stories
- Keep test cases in Jira/Xray accurate and up to date as the product evolves
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins) for test execution and reporting
- Collaborate with developers and manual QA to support the overall quality process
- Support mobile test automation using Appium and BrowserStack (desirable)
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in test automation
- Solid hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript
- Good understanding of the Page Object Model and test architecture best practices
- Experience running tests in CI pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI or similar)
- Familiarity with Jira for bug tracking and test case management
- Ability to read and interpret test reports (Allure or similar)
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and fix failing or flaky tests
Nice to Have
- Experience with Appium for Android and/or iOS mobile automation
- Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar device cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Xray for test case management in Jira
- Experience with SQL for test data setup and validation
- Exposure to API testing
Working Style
- Detail-oriented and proactive about quality
- Comfortable following team conventions and contributing within an established structure
- Clear communicator able to explain failures and findings to the rest of the team
