Information Security Support Engineering

Position Description:

We are seeking an Information Security Support Engineering (Senior DevOps / Production Support) to enhance production reliability operational maturity and security across our platforms. This is a hybrid role based in downtown Toronto and/or at a client site requiring on-site presence a minimum of four days per week (subject to change).

This is a production-focused role with a strong emphasis on security centered on ensuring system stability minimizing operational risk and strengthening incident response capabilities.

This is not a pure development or platform engineering role. It is a hands-on senior-level position with ownership of production environments requiring expertise in incident management observability automation and security best practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Manage and support HashiCorp Vault including secrets tokens policies and access controls
- Own and resolve L2/L3 production incidents particularly related to secrets management and security platforms
- Design and automate secrets lifecycle management (rotation renewal revocation)
- Integrate Vault with applications CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments
- Enhance system observability and monitoring using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
- Drive automation initiatives using Ansible to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
- Support Kubernetes (GKE) and cloud-based workloads
- Lead vulnerability remediation efforts and enforce security best practices
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams to strengthen platform security posture
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients during incidents and outages

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- 5 years of experience in DevOps SRE Information Security or production support roles
- Strong hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault in production environments
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Ansible
- Expertise in observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk Dynatrace or similar)
- Solid understanding of IAM authentication methods (e.g. OIDC LDAP) and encryption practices
- Proven experience in incident management and production troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE preferred) and cloud platforms
- Experience with secure application integration and container security
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients during incidents

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80000$130000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
