Backend Developer (mfd)

Avnet Inc. a Fortune 500 company and one of the global leaders in the field of distribution of electronic components is looking for a Backend Developer with strong Python experience to design and build scalable high-performance services. You will work on innovative projects ranging from data platforms to AI/LLM integrations directly contributing to the companys digital transformation.


What You Will Be Doing:

• Design develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI

• Build scalable and high-performance APIs for internal applications

• Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

• Design and optimize big data processing pipelines

• Perform and optimize large-scale data transformations using Apache Spark on private cloud clusters

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data frontend business)

• Manage code versioning using GitHub

• Contribute to modern software architecture design

• Optimize system performance and reliability.

The Ideal Person:

Must have:

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI
• Experience with NoSQL databases especially MongoDB
• Strong experience working with big data systems and large-scale datasets
• Proven ability to optimize performance of data transformations particularly using Apache Spark
• Experience working with distributed computing environments (e.g. private cloud clusters)
• Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub or similar)
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of backend architectures and microservices
• High proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Neo4j
• Knowledge of cloud platforms especially Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Background in AI / Machine Learning (e.g. PyTorch TensorFlow)
• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Familiarity with data pipelines and analytics systems.
