- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Weekly
On-Call Requirement
- MondayFriday: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
- Weekends: 24-Hour Call Coverage Required
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Multispecialty Ultrasound Technologist with strong vascular and echocardiography experience for a travel assignment in Plainview Texas. This role requires a highly skilled sonographer capable of performing a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound and cardiac imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general ultrasound OB/fetal imaging vascular studies and echocardiography including stress and contrast echo procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures across multiple specialties
- Conduct general vascular OB fetal breast and transvaginal ultrasound exams
- Perform adult echocardiograms contrast echo and stress treadmill echo procedures
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain procedures clearly
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper documentation for physician interpretation
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during examinations
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and echocardiography equipment appropriately
- Collaborate with radiologists cardiologists physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotation coverage
- Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately within EMR systems
- Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly
Required Qualifications
- Previous Ultrasound Technologist experience required
- Strong multispecialty ultrasound experience required
- BLS Certification required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Comfortable participating in on-call rotation schedules
- Strong communication and patient care skills
