Grad Intern Finance

What you will do

In this vital role you will support the Finance team by helping strengthen core finance databases improve reporting outputs that support Finance and leadership decision-making and streamline purchase order (PO) processes.

Key responsibilities

• Help build and maintain central finance/leadership reporting databases (e.g. consolidating inputs improving data structure and ensuring consistency).
• Support optimization of the current Tableau reporting suite (e.g. validating outputs refreshing views and proposing enhancements).
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and data quality including exploring responsible uses of automation/AI tools where appropriate.
• Support the teams PO process workload including tracking coordination and process documentation to help maintain steady operations.

• Excel (data cleaning pivots lookups)
• Tableau (validation refresh dashboard improvements)
• Power BI (exposure/asset)
• Office collaboration tools; responsible AI copilots (where applicable)
• Finance systems exposure (SAP / Oracle Hyperion asset)
• Enterprise ChatGPT

What we expect of you

Basic qualifications

• Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from within the last 3 years) an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Finance Analytics Economics Engineering or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data sets and repeatable processes.
• Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables lookups) and ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Preferred qualifications

• Bilingual (English/French).
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau and/or Power BI).
• Interest in process improvement automation and responsible use of AI tools.
• Familiarity with finance systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Hyperion) is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $58000 $72000 CAD.
