Maintenance Specialist Facilities SOGR Delivery
Job Summary
Our Corridor MaintenanceOperations Division is seeking a Maintenance Specialist Facilities SOGR Delivery to provide technical operational and customer service expertise and input on all Station facilities (e.g. building structures parking lots bus loops park and rides shelters rail platforms and rail wayside) to ensure the needs of Maintenance Delivery are met.
Ensure the development of task plans routes and checklist are functional for the maintenance delivery teams.
Perform audit functions to verify that planned maintenance activities are completed efficiently meet quality standards and support asset performance objectives.
Act as a representative for Facilities SOGRDelivery for infrastructure and State of Good Repairs (SOGR) projects to provide input counsel and guidance on operational and maintenance needs and expectations and comply with established standards in alignment with established Metrolinx standards and processes including by:
Conduct comprehensive technical reviews to integrate station operational and maintenance requirements into project designs optimizing infrastructure for efficiency longevity and long term maintainability
Inspect station sites and construction areas identify scope requirements and proactively resolve issues that may impact GO customers during planned active or future construction activities.
Provide expert technical advice and support to Engineering staff and project teams throughout all phases of station projects maintaining a strong customer service focus to enhance the passenger experience.
Review and inspect GO station structures and site conditions to identify deficiencies perform root cause analysis of asset failures and prepare detailed technical assessment and investigation reports.Collaborate with the SOGR group to prioritize deficiencies support budget allocation and initiate and support the planning and execution of rehabilitation and rebuild projects.
Participate in station construction and project meetings providing technical expertise to guide project development and execution influencing designs to meet long term maintenance requirements cost effectiveness goals and customer expectations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Hexagon EAM including completion of work orders labour bookings and the addition of comments and supporting documentation related to SOGR projects and asset management activities.
- Prepare clear concise written reports and effective verbal presentations including investigation findings technical assessments and recommendations.
- Coordinate SOGR inspector schedules provide coaching and guidance on inspection findings and collaborate with inspectors to resolve identified issues and support project progression.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders including Asset Management Stations Engineering and Bus Operations to support effective project delivery and asset performance.
Travel throughout the GTHA transit network as required using a fleet vehicle non-revenue vehicle (NRV) or personal vehicle in accordance with corporate policy.
Work a combination of office and field assignments five days per week typically hours; shifts may vary including afternoons or nights to support project and operational needs.
Perform on site work in all weather conditions including standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Access confined and elevated areas including climbing ladders and accessing roofs and hatches and use hand tools to support inspections and investigations.
Completion of a university degree in Urban Planning Transportation Architecture Electrical Mechanical or related field or a combination of education training and experience deemed Management Professional or Certified Facility Manager designation would be an asset.
Demonstrated years experience in facility maintenance or the planning design construction and operations of transit facilities
Knowledge of Human Resources legislation (e.g. Employment Standards Act Occupational Health & Safety Act etc.) including experience in the application of collective agreement provisions.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act Environmental Assessment Act
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with project management principles and practices including scope budget and schedule controls.
Experience leading and directing cross functional teams in simultaneous projects and ability to monitor project activities for adherence to timelines budgets and project performance objectives.
Knowledge of theories principles and practices of engineering and architectural design and construction programs within and around operating facilities standards and procedures.
Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to develop and implement strategic plans alternative procurement processes and review designs.
A valid Ontario Class G drivers license and a clear driving record for the past five years.
