Job Summary
Position Name: RN Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 12-Hour Shifts
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in John Day Oregon is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience and a passion for delivering compassionate patient-centered care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist physicians during labor delivery and emergency procedures
- Educate patients and families on labor postpartum recovery and newborn care
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Respond effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Acute care hospital experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
