Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and versatile Ultrasound Technologist to join a collaborative diagnostic imaging team in Rifle Colorado. This role involves performing high-quality ultrasound examinations across a broad patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
The ideal candidate will have strong General Ultrasound experience with required expertise in vascular and breast imaging along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including:
- General Ultrasound
- Vascular Studies
- Breast Imaging
- Small Parts Imaging
- Abdominal Imaging
- OB/GYN Studies
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment including Pixus Ultrasound and GE Logic 10 systems
- Review physician orders and patient history before procedures
- Educate and prepare patients for ultrasound examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists physicians and healthcare teams regarding patient care and imaging results
- Follow departmental safety standards and infection control protocols
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation coverage
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound experience required
- Current:
- ARDMS Certification
- ARRT Certification
- Required experience in:
- Vascular Ultrasound
- Breast Ultrasound
- Current BLS Certification required (or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment)
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures and patient care standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in:
- OB/GYN
- Abdomen
- Small Parts Imaging
- Associate Degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology preferred
OR - Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Sciences from an AMA-approved school or accredited Echocardiography Program preferred
- Previous hospital imaging experience preferred
- First-time travelers considered based on experience
