Job Summary

About the Role

Permanent-part Time -3 days/week (Wed Sat & Sun)

A working day in this role will involve supporting the comfort wellbeing and dignity of residents by ensuring all laundry services are delivered to a high standard within the aged care home. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff while assisting with the daily operation of the facilitys laundry services.

This includes:

  • Compliance to policies and procedures in relation to laundry services and infection control.
  • Maintenance of laundry equipment and checking of filtration devices.
  • Maintain stock inventory and personal inventory of residents.
  • Ironing mending and tagging of laundry items as necessary.
  • Promptly reports problems to the Facility Manager.
  • Handles laundry chemicals in accordance with safety information and safe handling techniques.
  • Return personal clothing to residents cupboards and maintain in tidy condition.
  • Other duties as directed by the Facility Manager.

Shoreline is a state-of-the-art Residential Aged Facility situated in a truly unique location adjacent to the beach and overlooking picturesque Cockburn Sound. The Facility provides resort lifestyle and quality care and services for up to 238 residents.

About You

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

  • Enjoys working with the elderly.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Is able to supervise organise and guide staff to deliver high quality catering outcomes.
  • Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
  • Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.

You should possess the following:

  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
  • Preferred - 1 year experience in laundry services
