We are currently looking for a Team Lead Project Management and Engineering (m/f/d) to lead our German Project and Engineering Team at our HQ located in Flensburg!
This is how You Make a Difference
As Team Lead Project Management and Engineering (m/f/d) you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of all projects within the entity as well as managing our German Project Management and Project Engineering Teams. Your tasks will include:- Ensuring targets for time cost quality and margin are achieved.
- Acting as the primary escalation point for critical or underperforming projects defining and driving recovery actions.
- Ensuring accurate project forecasting including EAC/ETC cash flow and milestone commitments.
- Enforcing global project management standards governance and gate processes consistently at BU level.
- Managing and developing the project management and engineering organization locally including coaching and performance management.
- Reviewing and challenging project plans risks schedules and commercial assumptions throughout the lifecycle.
- Safeguarding project profitability through disciplined change management and contract compliance.
- Leading customer and internal steering meetings supporting escalation management and key decisionmaking.
- Ensuring highquality project reporting and data accuracy for global portfolio and management reporting.
- Providing structured feedback and improvement proposals to the Global Head of Project Management based on BU experience.
You are
effective in managing stakeholders and customers including steering committees and escalation handling.
able to lead and recover complex or troubled projects applying structured recovery and escalation plans.
a strong people leader and coach with proven experience in developing guiding and performance-managing project managers engineers and support roles.
- someone with a strong risk management and issue resolution mindset with proactive identification and mitigation of delivery and commercial risks.
- clear and structured when communicating and able to provide reliable project status forecasts and escalations to global management.
What you Bring to the Table
- A university degree in Engineering Business or a related field with a solid foundation in project delivery commercial management and project economics.
- 6 years in project delivery with 2 years leading PM teams delivering complex multidisciplinary projects (220M) and recovering troubled projects.
- Strong commercial and financial control (contracts change/claims EAC/ETC cash) proven governance enforcement and experience with customer steering supplier management and handover to service.
- Proven expertise in endtoend project delivery ensuring time cost quality and margin objectives are met.
- Solid knowledge of project planning and control techniques (critical path milestone trend analysis risk & dependency management).
- Experience applying and enforcing global PM governance frameworks standards and gate processes at BU level.
- Competence with project management tools and reporting (e.g. MS Project Power BI consumption portfolio dashboards) and data accuracy discipline.
- Experience with MS Project/Power BI/Teams and building PM capability.
- A fluency in German and English.
Also an advantage:
- PM certifications.
- Sector experience with regulated/safetycritical environments.
