Licensed Respiratory Therapist & Cardiopulmonary Specialist

Regions Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist and Cardiopulmonary Specialist to join our collaborative team of this role you will partner with the patient care team to develop modify and implement respiratory care plans.

As a Respiratory Therapist you will:

• Administer routine and specialized respiratory and critical care interventions for inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to develop and adapt respiratory care plans for patients across all age groups including neonates pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics.
• Perform diagnostic procedures as requested.
• Operate maintain and troubleshoot respiratory and critical care equipment.

Schedule:

• FTE: .75 (30 hours/week)
• Shift: Nights
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree or higher in Respiratory TherapyOR
• Graduation from a twoyear AMAapproved Respiratory Care programOR
• Coursework and credentials (e.g. twoyear respiratory therapist program CRT credential) qualifying the candidate for the NBRC registry exam.

Experience

Minimum of four years of experience including:

• At leasttwo years at Regions Hospital with documented competency in respiratory critical care.
• At least two years performing respiratory critical care duties in an acute care setting providing Hemodynamic services.
• Must work a minimum of 48 hours per pay period.
• Other experience as approved by Manager.

Licensure/Certification

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
• BLS certification
• ACLS within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within one year of hire

Licensure/Certification

• NRP Certification
• Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS)
• Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS)
• Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
