Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Requires experience buying small component parts hard drives and cables.
- Needs familiarity with the standard distribution suppliers.
- MRP experience preferred.
- Knowledge of a PO system (no specific one required).
- Ensures timely order placement of product or service requirements from pre-selected sources of supply.
- Issues releases against pre-established blanket purchase orders.
- Provides follow-up information on delivery schedule status.
- Prepares and maintains reports and files.
- Provides general assistance to Buyers and Section Managers in routine purchasing activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience And Education:
- Minimum of 0-2 years of direct purchasing experience.
- Requires knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures.
- Word processing and spreadsheet skills highly desirable.
- Electronic component experience preferred.
