Senior System Analyst specializing in Operational Technology (OT) to support and enhance the clients AVEVA PI System environment. The role involves developing PI Asset Framework structures building dashboards and KPIs integrating data sources and ensuring data quality governance and system performance. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders in a mission-critical industrial setting to deliver reliable data-driven solutions aligned with operational and business objectives.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
PI Asset Framework (AF) Enhancements
Conduct an AF gap analysis and identify missing AF elements including tag mappings.
Update AF templates attributes calculations units of measure (UOM) and event frames as required.
Develop complete AF documentation including hierarchy diagrams configuration notes and AF exports.
Define datasets (tags and AF attributes) suitable for ingestion into business intelligence (BI) reporting tools.
Produce mapping specifications event logic and refresh requirements aligned with Insights team guidance.
Deliver curated analytical datasets validated against AF structures and the PI historian.
Design a tag quality monitoring framework to identify data gaps bad actors and irregularities.
PI Vision Dashboards
Build Operational dashboards KPI visualizations and compliance-aligned displays.
Deliver a complete PI Vision display package ready for deployment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 5 years delivering AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System solutions including PI Asset Framework (AF) and designing and building PI dashboards and visualizations using PI Vision 2020 or later (with hands-on PI Vision 2024 experience strongly preferred) and/or legacy tools such as PI ProcessBook
. PI AF (templates/elements attributes analyses event frames) and PI Vision 2020 (ideally 2024).
. Demonstrated expertise in PI AF including templates elements attributes hierarchies analyses calculations and Event Frames.
. Strong experience developing calculations KPIs and derived metrics aligned with operational and business reporting needs.
. Hands-on experience with PI interfaces and connectors including OPC UA PI-to-PI buffering and PI Web API.
. Familiarity with DeltaV historian and OPC environments is considered an asset.
. Proven experience implementing data quality and governance practices including tag standards validation and lifecycle management.
. Experience with historian performance tuning optimization and operational reliability in production environments.
. Experience working in OT/industrial environments including historians supporting mission-critical operations.
. Working knowledge of segmented OT/IT networks change control processes and OT-focused cybersecurity practices particularly for web interfaces APIs and connector endpoints.
. Understanding of historian security practices and data governance within OT contexts.
. Degree in Engineering Computer Science Data/Information Systems
. Utility industry experience is considered an asset;
. SAFe PMI-DASM or CSM is considered an asset;
. ITIL knowledge and experience is considered an asset
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55000$110000. This role is an existing vacancy.
