Job Summary

Position Description:

Role Description: Support and monitor batch scheduling operations ensuring timely execution of critical retail batch jobs.- Monitor and manage batch jobs using UC4 / Control-M / Airflow- Handle job failures restarts and basic troubleshooting- Ensure SLA adherence for business-critical batch cycles- Coordinate with application teams for issue resolution- Maintain job documentation and runbooks- Perform basic scheduling changes and validations- Experience Required: 2-6 years

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
1. Job Monitoring & Scheduling
Monitor daily batch schedules across UC4 / Control-M / Airflow
Ensure timely execution of jobs and workflows
Create modify and optimize job schedules
2. Incident & Failure Management
Investigate and resolve job failures or delays
Provide L2/L3 support for escalated incidents
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement fixes
3. Troubleshooting & Support
Analyze logs alerts and error codes
Work with application and infra teams to resolve issues
Handle job dependencies and workflow failures
4. Continuous Improvement
Automate repetitive operational tasks
Optimize job scheduling and performance
Document SOPs troubleshooting steps and best practices
5. Collaboration
Coordinate with DevOps Infra and Application teams
Support deployment of new jobs/workflows
Participate in on-call rotation (24x7 support)

Must-Have Skills
Hands-on experience with UC4 (Automic) / Control-M / Apache Airflow (at least one tool)
Strong understanding of batch processing and job scheduling concepts
Experience in production support (L2/L3) and incident handling
Good knowledge of log analysis and troubleshooting techniques
Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident Problem Change Management)
Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands
Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment

Good-to-Have Skills
Scripting knowledge (Shell / Python) for automation
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk Dynatrace etc.)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Understanding of database queries (SQL)
Experience in workflow optimization and performance tuning
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Ability to work under pressure
Good communication and collaboration skills
Proactive mindset toward automation and improvements
