Inventory Control Equipment Operator
Job Description
Reports to: Inventory Control Manager
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Equipment Operator is responsible for performing daily cycle counts of current physical inventory timely and accurately.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Verify bin level accuracy of inventory and quantity within specified locations
Rotate stock as needed to ensure FIFO (first in first out) rules are utilized
Maintain clean and organized bin locations
Assist with product storage profiling projects
Participate in picking packing and shipping as needed
Provide material handling assistance as needed
Partake in overall housekeeping of distribution center including cleaning organizing dusting sweeping etc.
Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Powered industrial truck (PIT) license (Forklift license) including stock picker walkie-rider and reach truck certification
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate with leadership managers leads and peers
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and software
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Willing to participate in Company designated training
Ability to work with minimum supervision/guidance
- Must be able to practice safe work habits
Physical Demands:
This is a General Warehouse position that requires sitting standing walking stooping kneeling and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
