AECOMs environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance manage impacts and reduce risks including obtaining permits and approvals decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites and tackling climate change challenges and resilience. We focus on preserving habitats water quality stakeholder engagement and cultural resources promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage.

We are seeking Environmental Scientists Environmental Engineers (or similar) to join our QNT Geosciences and Remediation Services (GRS) team. This is a great opportunity to grow your career while learning from some of the best in the industry. You will have the chance to work on remote client sites collaborating closely with internal teams subcontractors and clients.

 This is a full time site based field supervisor role.

How youll make a difference:

• Working on a two week on two week off basis working with a back-to-back AECOM field supervisor
• Ideally cased in Brisbane (or Queensland) FIFO to the Roma in the Maranoa Regional Council Area
• Collection of Groundwater and surface water samples from multiple sites.
• Management and handling of samples following strict procedures.
• Management of schedule to ensure sampling timeframes are achieved.
• Stakeholder management and liaison.
• Minimum 12 month commitment to the FIFO program with subsequent opportunity to rotate into the remediation teams

We are looking for candidates with energy and enthusiasm who enjoy working collaboratively with a great team of people to provide solutions to our clients.

• A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering (or similar) and a minimum of two years experience in groundwater and surface water sample collection or
• A minimum of five years experience in groundwater and surface water sample collection with no tertiary qualification.
• Ability to work safely in the field and keep others safe
• Confident around the engagement and management of subcontractors
• Providing high quality data management using industry standard tools
• Providing project and proposal management and support
• Willingness to work remotely on client sites essential
• A drivers licence is essential for the role
