Job Summary
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Cash application; post payments on customer accounts including cash check ach and wire payments
Monitor and fix daily invoice exceptions
Complete new customer credit applications
Help with collection of past due customer accounts
Maintain and organize the customer database
Produce and mail/email customer account statements monthly
Process and manage customer claims track tracers and proof of payment
Support internal customers customer service and sales team
Effectively resolve customer questions and concerns in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
Associates or bachelors degree preferred
- At least 3 years of prior Accounts Receivable experience
Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping accounting principles regulatory standards general ledgers and compliance requirements
- High proficiency in Excel
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
- Ability to communicate effectively (clear and concise) through writing speaking active listeningand presentation
- Must approach conflicts with vendors customers and colleagues in a constructive manner
- Ability to work both independently within a team and cross-functionally with other departments/stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment
- Excellent organization skills with superior attention to detail
- Ability to develop and foster business relationships
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to practice safe work habits
Physical Demands:
