Senior AWS Application Developer

Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior AWS ApplicationDeveloper to design and build scalable cloud-native applications within a highly dynamic AWS environment. This role is hands-on and involves developing robust backend services modern front-end applications and highly performant data solutions.
We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!.

This role is located at a client site in either Plano TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking a Senior AWS ApplicationDeveloper to design and build scalable cloud-native applications within a highly dynamic AWS environment. This role is hands-on and involves developing robust backend services modern front-end applications and highly performant data solutions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding product management architecture DevOps and QAto deliver secure reliable and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Java and Python strong experience with AWS services and a solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems. Exposure to emerging technologies such as Generative AI and graph databases is a plus.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 8 years of backend development experience using Java (11) and Python in enterprise environments
. Proven experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS (ECS/EKS Lambda API Gateway SQS/SNS IAM CloudWatch)
. Hands-on expertise with Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL/Aurora) including schema design query tuning and performance optimization
. Solid understanding of microservices architecture REST APIs and event-driven systems
. Front-end development experience with Angular and modern TypeScript practices
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions CodePipeline) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker ECS or EKS)
. Strong testing mindset with exposure to unit integration and API testing frameworks
. Knowledge of secure coding practices IAM policies and data protection standards
. Ability to optimize systems for performance scalability and reliability
. Comfortable working in Agile teams participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers

Desired Skillset:

. Experience with Generative AI on AWS (Bedrock Claude Sonnet)
. Exposure to graph databases (Amazon Neptune Gremlin/SPARQL)
. Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC JWT and regulatory compliance frameworks
. Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry Datadog or CloudWatch
. Prior experience in financial services or mortgage domain

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99200.00 - $154300.00.
