Senior Software Engineer Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console (Brno Office, Czech Republic)

Red Hat Engineering is seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join us in Brno. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of our most important and innovative projects: Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console (HCC) which is the customer-facing platform for most of Red Hats managed cloud services. You will be working closely with the Product Management team to deliver new frontend features so our customers can work efficiently with Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console (HCC). A key focus of this role is leveraging and advancing AI-powered engineering practices from agentic development workflows and AI-assisted code review to automated testing and intelligent planning. As an engineer on the team youll write code review pull requests fix bugs and drive AI adoption all within an agile environment. Youll need to be someone who is smart friendly collaborative and one who loves to learn.

What you will do:

• Work across many different teams and technologies to tie together existing systems and tools

• Design and develop new features and prototypes while collaborating with other team members including User Experience Designers

• Collaborate and innovate cross-functionally with other engineers and developers to deliver creative solutions for including product and infrastructure enhancements

• Interface with Product Management to understand new features and ensure alignment during feature development

• Use agile software development methodologies to quickly adapt to changes in requirements

• Work with the Quality Engineering (QE) to ensure that features are tested correctly

• Champion the adoption and governance of AI-powered development tools (e.g. Claude Code AI code review agents automated testing assistants) across team workflows

• Design and implement agentic workflows that autonomously handle routine engineering tasks ticket triage code scaffolding pull request reviews and regression detection

• Establish guardrails and best practices for AI-assisted development to ensure code quality security and compliance are maintained

• Leverage AI tools to accelerate feature delivery reduce toil and improve developer experience across the team

• Identify and resolve moderately complex issues by implementing AI-powered agents to automate non-routine workflows and enhance existing team processes

• Mentor and coach other engineers with particular emphasis on effective AI tool usage and agentic development patterns

What you will bring:

• 5 years of experience in software development or engineering

• 2 years of experience programming with Javascript and at least one UI framework; React is preferred

• Demonstrated experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g. Claude Code GitHub Copilot AI code review tools) in day-to-day engineering work

• Experienced in Git and its workflows (rebasing pull requests and merging)

• Ability to work in team and independently

• Experience designing REST API interfaces

• Passionate for building beautiful intuitive user experiences

• Comfortable with rapid iteration and fast delivery

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience with the following are considered a plus

• Experience designing implementing or governing AI-powered agentic workflows in a software engineering context

• Familiarity with prompt engineering LLM integration patterns and AI guardrail design

• Experience working in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment

• Microservices architectures

• OpenShift by Red Hat

• Experience with PatternFly or similar design system frameworks

• Open source software
