About the role

Were Matillion; and were building the first AI Data Automation platform Maia. Our Field Engineering team is the nexus where our technology meets our customers and its one of the fastest-growing parts of the business. As Senior Programme Manager youll sit at the heart of that coordinating driving and owning the major programmes that keep our customer-facing engine running. This isnt traditional programme management. You wont be living in Jira raising tickets. Youll be building automation designing frameworks running global initiatives and using modern AI tooling to make things happen faster and smarter.

Youll work closely with Product Engineering and Executive Leadership to drive accountability across some of our most critical programmes. If you come from a B2B SaaS background understand what GTM execution looks like and know how to build things that last we want to talk.

Matillion operates on a hybrid basis with us coming together 2 days a week in our Manchester office to collaborate and drive our mission forward.

What you will be doing

Leading the end-to-end delivery of multiple cross-functional Field Engineering initiatives - engaging stakeholders across Product Engineering Marketing Legal Customer Success and IT to drive alignment and accountability from kickoff to completion
Building comprehensive project blueprints that define business objectives scope delivery strategies resource allocation and communication plans
Coordinating across teams to plan align and track development release go-to-market and enablement activities ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and every workstream knows whats expected and when
Proactively identifying assessing and managing risks dependencies issues and impediments maintaining robust change management and quality control processes that keep projects healthy and stakeholders informed
Monitoring and reporting on programme performance to senior stakeholders while providing strong leadership to project teams

What we are looking for

Demonstrable experience in programme or project management experience in a B2B SaaS environment; you understand GTM execution customer lifecycle programmes and what it takes to deliver at scale in a fast-moving tech company
Genuinely technical - you dont need to be a software engineer but you must be comfortable with modern tooling like n8n Claude Code or equivalent automation platforms. You build things you dont just manage them
A proven track record of driving cross-functional alignment - you can influence without authority hold stakeholders accountable and communicate with clarity across Engineering Product and Executive audiences
A bias for action and a scrappy get-it-done mentality; you move fast iterate and find a way through ambiguity without waiting for perfect conditions
Strong organisational instincts with meticulous attention to detail. You can manage multiple complex programmes simultaneously spot whats falling through the cracks and fix it before it becomes a problem

At Matillion we are committed to providing compensation in line with market standards based on the role job family job level and country. This roles estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is 61600 - 92400. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
