Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM 7:00 PM) 3x12-Hour
Job Description
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a travel contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong Med-Surg experience prior travel experience and the ability to provide high-quality care for adult post-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit
- Manage post-surgical and medical patients including abdominal pain fractures bariatric cases and chronic conditions
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies feeding tubes and NG tubes
- Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes
- Float between units as required
- Document all patient care accurately in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Experience with adult patient populations required
