VPFSQA

The VP of FSQA is a strategicleader responsible for developing and executing a company-wide food safety andquality strategy that ensures regulatory compliance brand protection andoperational excellence. This role partners across functions to embed safety andquality into every aspect of the business provides expert guidance as thecompany scales and leads continuous improvement initiatives that elevateproduct integrity training and compliance with all regulatory standards.

What Youll Do:

Set andexecute CAVAs FSQA strategy aligning with business objectives and cultivatinga culture of safety quality and operational excellence across theorganization.

Provideexecutive leadership to FSQA functions across manufacturing distribution andfield operations ensuring alignment and accountability throughout the supplychain.

Serve asthe companys primary authority on food safety compliance maintainingproactive relationships with regulatory bodies and representing CAVA inexternal industry and regulatory forums.

Overseeregulatory compliance and third-party certification programs ensuring allsuppliers facilities and restaurants meet or exceed FDA USDA and industrystandards.

Leadenterprise risk management for FSQA including strategic oversight of productwithdrawals recalls regulatory inspections and food safety incidents.

Drivecontinuous improvement through the use of metrics KPIs and trend analysisensuring performance targets are met across suppliers internal operations andrestaurants.

Championinnovation in FSQA systems and technology identifying tools that enhancetraceability real-time monitoring and product integrity.

Set thestrategic direction for supplier quality programs overseeing auditsonboarding and corrective action processes to ensure accountability and highperformance.

Ensure implementationof SOPs SSOPs and training frameworks reinforcing food safety protocols andcultivating leadership at all levels of the organization.

Leadcross-functional collaboration on quality initiatives partnering with multipledepartments to embed FSQA into core business processes.

Establishand monitor FSQA benchmarks and performance metrics using industry insights toguide internal standards and strategic decision-making.

Mentor anddevelop FSQA leadership driving organizational capability successionplanning and a scalable team structure to support growth.

The Qualifications:

Bachelorsdegree preferably in food science food safety food technology microbiology chemistryquality assurance or related field (Masters preferred).

10 yearsof experience with QSR sectorfood manufacturing processesspecifically related to food safety matters corporate regulatorywork audit procedures and fresh producewith specific knowledge and direct experience related to overseeingcompliance with FDA USDA and International regulations (FSMA training).

Advanced certifications such as PCQI HACCP SQF Practitioner orequivalent preferred.

Provensuccess leading crossfunctional teams and overseeing a large network of partners suppliers andvendors.

Extensiveexpertise in food safety regulations including FDA USDA HACCP GMP GFSIFSMA and other industry standards.

Demonstratedexperience overseeing supplier quality programs audits risk assessments andcrisis management.

Experiencemanaging third-party audits regulatory inspections and external partnerships.

Experience with digital traceability platforms and food safety technology.

Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes food productionenvironments and the implementation of robust quality management systems.

Exceptionalcommunication skills with the ability to influence educate and lead acrossmultiple stakeholders and levels of the organization.

Ability totravel as needed to production facilities restaurants and supplier locations.

Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain stationary positionto be able to operate a computer and other office equipment

Mustbe able to identify analyze and assess details

Forcertain positions must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to50 pounds

Abilityto communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively

Constantlypositions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food productionsupport or office operations as applicable

Abilityto work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
