Now Hiring: Public Health Nurse Supervisor- Prenatal/Postpartum
(Grant-funded position)
The Public Health Nurse Supervisor plans develops implements and evaluates grant-funded community-based care coordination programs that address the needs of historically marginalized individuals. The Public Health Nurse Supervisor coordinates and oversees efforts to address disparities faced by pregnant and postpartum individuals and their families in Franklin County. Specifically this position oversees a prenatal/postpartum home visiting program along with other initiatives to reduce infant and maternal mortality. The position involves partial remote work.
Duties Include:
- Designs and implements maternal and infant home visiting and care coordination activities. Serves as a resource for health education for providers health care systems and community agencies. Works closely with external partners and serves as the main point of contact. Attends internal and external meetings with community partners.
- Coordinates a team that consists of Public Health Nurses Community Health Workers and a Data Analyst. Provides direct and indirect supervision coaching and oversight to staff through performance evaluations mentoring and discipline. Participates in candidate reviewing interviewing and providing hiring recommendations.
- Provides clinical and case management program oversight. Assists
with writing editing and collecting documentation to assure full compliance with grant deliverables and outcomes. Analyzes prenatal and postpartum data from primary and secondary data sources and maintains data systems. Assists with identifying and recommending grant expenditures. Promotes program sustainability by identifying new sources of funding. - Participates in other related PHN duties as assigned such as assisting with emergency preparedness or response activities. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited College of Nursing.
- 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse OR 2 years experience as a Public Health Nurse.
- 2 years direct supervisory or equivalent leadership experience.
- Documented knowledge and proficiency using an Electronic Health Record system.
- Current and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse license; Ohio Drivers License; BLS CPR Certification.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- Grants management and administration experience preferred.
Hiring Salary: $35.04/hour - $42.05/hour for Public Health Nurse Supervisor. This is an exempt position.
