We are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager / SME Lead who is technically strong collaborative and results-driven to join our Engineering & Capital Projects team based in our Atlanta GA Headquarters.
About the role
You will serve as a technical leader and project execution authority responsible for delivering complex capital projects and ensuring the performance reliability and compliance of mechanical systems within regulated environments. You will combine deep mechanical engineering expertise with strong project management to support design construction commissioning and ongoing operations.
Who youll work with
You will work in a cross-functional environment partnering with engineering operations quality maintenance and external vendors. You will lead collaboration across internal teams and contractors to safely deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong regulatory and quality standards.
What youll do
- Lead full lifecycle capital projects from concept through commissioning and closeout
- Manage project scope budget schedule and resource planning
- Provide SME guidance for HVAC utilities and mechanical systems design
- Oversee construction installation and field execution activities
- Lead commissioning qualification and validation activities including FAT and SAT
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and regulatory standards
Interested For this role were looking for the following
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering manufacturing or equipment vendor environments
- Strong experience managing capital projects and mechanical systems
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g. pharmaceutical biotech or similar)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project delivery
- Knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC boilers or process utilities
Preferred requirements
- Experience in cGMP or regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP or Maximo
- Strong background in maintenance reliability and asset performance improvement
- Experience supporting commissioning qualification and validation activities
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
