Job Summary

The Events Server/Bartender is responsible for making and serving alcoholic beverages and performing Events Server functions including set-up service and cleanup of hotel event activities ensuring overall success and repeat business while creating memorable experiences by providing friendly prompt and attentive service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive friendly courteous and professional manner.
• Properly follow recipes to make and serve a wide variety of mixed drinks using an extensive range of ingredients.
• Orders requisitions and stocks all liquor beverage and other bar supplies according to company standards.
• Ability to perform Events Server functions as needed including proper setup/reset of guest sitting areas attending to guest needs; serve and make alcoholic beverages ensuring that proper measurement and recipes are followed.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations particularly those prohibiting service to minors intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
• Properly and thoroughly set-up all server areas and complete all opening closing and side work duties during shift.
• Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
• Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
• Abide by all control regulations laws and procedures related to food/alcohol service safety and sanitation.
• Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.

Essential Skills Experience and Education include:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Luxury hotel/fine dining experience is preferred.
• High volume fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
• Food Handlers card is required.
• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
• Proficient in English- verbal and written.
• Must have flexible work availability- all shifts weekdays weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements include:

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
