Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of the Transportation team based in Markham Brampton or Ottawa ONoffice and have the opportunity to work on the various projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Perform project management for the planning design rehabilitation and inspection of bridges.
- Prepare the design specifications required for both design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
- Conduct analysis and design calculations as per the applicable codes standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage assigned projects and ensure the achievement of project objectives.
- Coordinate and supervise the appointed technicians and engineers to the project.
- Participate and contribute in office/region coordination with other disciplines as required including business development and resource sharing.
- Mentor junior designers and provide direction for engineers during various phases of design and construction.
- Review and revise technical documents required to produce the necessary tender documents for construction.
- Prepare tender documents including specifications quantities and drawings.
- Perform other various activities necessary for the implementation of projects; and participate in proposal preparation.
What your experience looks like
- Experience with design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and registered as a . in Ontario.
- 10 years of relevant experience in construction design and rehabilitation of bridges.
- Must have experience working with MTO Cities and municipalities.
- The ideal candidate will be RAQS registered certified/able to register for multi-span bridge category with MTO.
- Must have in depth knowledge in the design of bridges and familiar with MTO design guidelines; specifications and standards.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software; and
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

The salary range for this role is between$108610 - $143972. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
