Job Description
Head Senior Director US Medical Director Clinical Value & Market Expansion (CART)
Role Purpose
The Head US Clinical Value & Market Expansion (CART) is responsible for defining and executing the US Medical Affairs market expansion & US community oncology strategy to expand appropriate patient access to CART therapies across academic and community settings. This role owns the US clinical value narrative evidence strategy and medical field execution (in coordination with global teams) required to activate referral pathways support site readiness and enable confident adoption of CART in realworld practice.
The role provides direct leadership to the US Clinical Value Liaisons (CVLs) and the Associate Director US Medical Strategy CART Market Expansion ensuring alignment between strategy evidence generation and field execution.
This position will be filled in Santa Monica CA Foster City CA or Parsippany NJ.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Value & Evidence Strategy
Define and own the US clinical value framework for CART translating clinical data into clear credible narratives for diverse stakeholders.
Lead US Medical Affairs input into evidence generation priorities including realworld evidence outcomes research sitelevel insights and unmet need characterization.
Ensure consistent compliant scientific messaging across the CVL team and broader Medical Affairs organization.
Market Expansion & Community Oncology Enablement
Develop and execute the US Medical market expansion strategy for CART with emphasis on:
Community oncology engagement and referral pathway activation
Site onboarding readiness and safe sequencing education
Removal of clinical and operational misconceptions limiting adoption
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure medical strategies effectively support appropriate patient identification and timely referral.
Field Medical Leadership (CVLs)
Provide direct people leadership coaching and performance management for the Clinical Value Liaison (CVL) team.
Set priority accounts engagement models and field medical objectives aligned to US market expansion goals.
Ensure CVLs deliver highimpact scientific exchange focused on clinical decisionmaking outcomes and realworld application
Coordinating and collaborating with HEOR / RWE team in global
Coordinate and collaborate with commercial Market Access team
Strategic Integration & CrossFunctional Partnership
Serve as the primary US Medical Affairs interface for CART market expansion with:
Market Access Commercial team (without promotional overlap)
Global Strategy team
Collaborate on how materials for MSL & CVL team are created
Global Medical Affairs Evidence Generation (HEOR / RWE) and Clinical Development teams
Ensure clear role delineation and strong alignment across functions to accelerate execution while maintaining medical integrity.
Leadership & Governance
Represent US Medical Affairs in leadership forums related to CART expansion evidence strategy and field execution.
Contribute to budget planning headcount strategy and prioritization decisions impacting US Medical Affairs outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience
MD PharmD PhD or equivalent advanced scientific or clinical degree.
14 years experience with BS/BA or 12 years experience with MS/ MA or MBA
Significant experience in US Medical Affairs within oncology or hematologic malignancies; CART experience strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of community oncology dynamics referral pathways and realworld treatment barriers.
Experience with US payer large community oncology networks and how community practices operate in the US healthcare system (including community motivations etc)
Demonstrated success leading field medical teams and translating clinical data into practicechanging medical strategy.
Strong communication skills / presenting to both internal and external audiences
Proven ability to operate at the intersection of strategy evidence and execution in a complex matrixed environment.

The salary range for this position is:
Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation including experience qualifications and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role) paid time off and a benefits package.
