Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Job Summary
Essential Job Functions
- Establishes risk management policy governance philosophy and practices at the enterprise level including proper metrics and controls.
- Manages Farmers business risk analysis and corporate business risk summary.
- Maintains and updates the risk governance framework/philosophy.
- Provides guidance in support of the governance philosophy monitors compliance with the governance on a regular cadence.
- Working with business and corporate functions establishes priorities and action plans to manage risks.
- Oversees review/analysis of catastrophe risk works with business units and corporate finance on catastrophe management strategies.
- Assures proper metrics are in place and met.
- Investigates and advocates risk management best practices.
- Acts as Farmers risk management expert.
- Stays current with risk management trends including tools and technology.
- Pursues knowledge transfer of risk management practices philosophy and policies.
- Establishes needed sources of training and skill development.
- Works with Zurich risk management on corporate policy and philosophy and areas of common concern.
- Maintains strong relations with key Zurich risk management colleagues.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with business unit heads and business unit risk managers.
- Forms and manages risk management committees (operational governanceetc. ) as needed or requested.
- Reports to the Board business heads and corporate senior management as needed or requested.
- Works on special risk management projects for Farmers and Zurich.
- Performs other functions as assigned.
