About the role
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports project delivery by assisting in the development and implementation of sourcing and contract management activities. Working within established procedures and under the guidance of senior team members you will apply procurement and supply chain knowledge to help deliver outcomes that meet business needs manage risk and support value creation.
This role contributes to supplier engagement contract administration sourcing documentation and compliance with Babcock procurement standards and category management principles. Success in this role is measured by your ability to support sourcing processes maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement across the Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting sourcing activities including RFQ RFI and RFT processes
Preparing procurement documentation and assisting with sourcing plans
Conducting basic market research and supplier analysis
Assisting with drafting and reviewing contract documents to ensure compliance
Maintaining accurate procurement and contract records for audit and reporting
Supporting contract administration including tracking key dates deliverables and supplier performance
Assisting with Contract Status Reporting (CSR) to monitor progress against contractual obligations
Coordinating supplier communications and resolving routine queries
Supporting subcontract and contract management activities including issue resolution
Contributing to improvements in procurement tools templates and processes
Ensuring compliance with HSE Trade Controls and Babcock procurement standards
Embedding the Babcock Principles into daily work
To be successful you will bring:
Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Clearance (NV1)
Approximately 2 years experience in procurement sourcing or contract management
Experience supporting sourcing exercises (RFQ/RFI/RFT) and supplier engagement
Familiarity with Category Management SRM and SPM frameworks
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Working knowledge of procurement systems and sourcing tools
Relevant qualifications in Procurement Supply Chain Commerce Finance Logistics or similar
