Fill Site Attendant
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fill Site Attendant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the fill site including directing trucks inspecting incoming material maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with the fill placement plan. This position is primarily outdoors requires working independently with minimal supervision and involves physically demanding tasks such as climbing truck ladders to inspect loads. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours with minimal notice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the fill placement plan for excess soils is followed and designate dumping areas for RWT and external customers.
- Record the number of trucks dumping for each RWT construction job/project and maintain accurate daily records.
- Provide tickets to dump truck drivers and/or job/project foremen as required.
- Inspect fill material as it is dumped including climbing truck ladders to visually inspect loads.
- Ensure contaminated or rejected loads are removed from the site in accordance with procedures.
- Notify the foreman/supervisor when the fill site requires grading or other maintenance.
- Work independently on site while maintaining regular communication with the Site Foreman.
Requirements:
- Must be a competent individual capable of working outdoors unsupervised.
- Must be a strong communicator able to give clear directions to truck drivers and site personnel.
- Must be physically capable of performing demanding tasks including climbing the sides of trucks to inspect loads.
- Must be capable of identifying and flagging loads with debris or contamination.
- Must be able to work flexible and extended hours with little to no notice including evenings and weekends as required.
- Valid drivers license is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work at an active fill site in all weather conditions.
- Physically demanding involving standing walking and climbing.
- Work performed independently with minimal supervision.
- Regular exposure to heavy equipment moving vehicles dust noise and uneven terrain.
- Flexible and extended hours required including evenings and weekends with little notice.
- Seasonal position.
Compensation Information:
The expected salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
